I have, and will drive GM's...

GM is alteast starting to make RWD cars again, while Ford will only have the GT and Mustang left as RWD cars by 2008 I believe...

Actually, Saleen isn't part of Ford but Ford hires Saleen, an independent race car company, to produce its parts for its Ford GT (and Mustang Saleen, of course). Even I would easily take a Ford GT!

Speaking of Nissan/Renault - they're not buying out GM. They're just purchasing a huge stake in GM - but nothing close enough to claim ownership.

You guys should go, if its anything like last year's event. This is the only one free ride and drive event where you can really flog the car without in-car supervision...BMW's UDE requires in-car instructor.

edit: reminder, they barely feed you at this event (contrast with other DEs). Plan accordingly. Also wear comfortable clothes, lines do get long for the flog test. Last event was held in fall.
