Best way to spend $1,200 on my BMW?

I have a completely stock 335i e92, have about 1200 saved up and ready to spend, and 1 big issue.....I cant decide how to spend it on my car. Should I start with rims? I have way too many speeding tickets so im looking for only exterior modifications, please chime in. THANKS!

A set of KW V1 coilovers would be the best mod for that money. It'll allow you to lower the car a bit, but most importantly they'll transform the drive. The car will not only corner more flat, but ride better across bumps and road irregularities. You'll enjoy driving the car much more. It will enhance the car exterior as well. Interior wise you could consider the sport steering wheel with the trick rpm L.E.D.s. The wheel is so nice, especially due to the alcantara material. Get that and the matching gear shift knob and your hands will be very happy. I like mods that make enhancements that are "full time." In other words, things that make a difference every inch down the road. Sound is another example.

JB3 + M3 spoiler lip + Black kidneys

Perfect subtle starting combo.

Or...

Aero lip + M3 Spoiler lip + Black kidneys

wheels will cost at least 2k'ish (even if you're looking on the cheaper end), cuz you're gonna need new rubber.

you could also just drop it and do matter black grilles.

If you have those kind of bucks then why not spend $3200 on wheels plus $1200 + in tires. Why not just buy the SSR's for half the price. The TR Motorsports are $100 less per wheel than the SSR's. The money saved could be put to better use.

Use the dough to send yourself to one of the BMW CCA High Performance Driving Events. The single best modification you can do to your car is to tighten the nut behind the wheel. If you get proper instruction, listen to what they have to say, and apply it. You will then be able to maximize what your car already has, as well as be able to use your new "mods" on every single car your drive from here on out.

If your local BMW CCA Chapter doesn't offer an HPDE, then try some local track event companies, and see which of them has instruction too.

Best of luck...

You can track your 335i, so I agree with the HPDE rec.

I tracked my 335i a couple times, but it is very heavy, runs hot, and is a bit sluggish on the track.

FTW

Used set of coilovers $400-700
Black grill $70
Smoked reflectors $25
M rear lip spoiler $200
Aero lip $350

At most that would around $1400

I found a couple of people selling used rims from the 600-800 range with tires, so maybe I can buy the wheels and have another 400 to spend on coilovers.

I would go with coil overs or Dinan oil cooler.
