Lightbulb New sparkpug option - NGK

Hi,

Can this be a potential solution to our sparkplug failures?

I have not found it on NGK's homepages in US or Sweden - but according to Dixis it's a new product.

Im looking forward to this...hopefully they will come out with a better coil as well. Does anyone know if this is just an OEM replacement or does is it a cooler running plug?

Plug gap, heat spectrum and wear all play a roll in misfires. It's possible that the coil pack is going bad as well.

Direct Injection does reduce the possibility of the items mentioned above, but as with everything, there are always drastic situations.

With the higher power levels many people are running, a slighter tighter gap should be used. A colder plug does help, but then again, that is greatly dependent on the situation.

I spoke with someone at NGK USA about this yesterday. He mentioned that the plug shown on these websites is not yet available for the US market. They are being sold in the Japan market and neither NGK or its distributors are allowed to sell them out of their market place. He did call the NGK Germany and NGK UK and neither one of them had any information about the plugs. Here is one of his emails with some more detail on the ranges...
