'Jerky'/'stuttering' acceleration problem
I am feeling some 'jerkiness' or 'stuttering' under hard acceleration in higher gears.
Could this be the dreaded HPFP failure? The last time I felt a car do this, it was bad coils. I'm not getting a CEL or SES light. Last edited by Slidewayz; 04-17-2009 at 05:15 PM.. |

It's getting warmer guys. If you are getting hesitation under full boost, it's likely knock retard. If that is the case, be sure to run a good quality fuel. That means either Shell or 76 here in CA. If that doesn't help, drop your user torque by 5%.

I was wondering if it was the knock nannies. 76 versus Chevron, then?
I guess I can try a gallon of race gas... Do you still do dyno tunes here in the Bay? Do you think that might smooth things out? |
