How many in euroupe needs canbuswire update

Hey

Still in chock after sending 30$paypal to vishnu, and Duastin returned an e-mail wich told me shipping allone would be 66,60$ to denmark and because the package is more the 37$ including shipping IŽll have to pay costums and a adminestrations fee of 110$, so that amounts to 177$ for 2 wires

So I was hoping that if we could have vishnu send a bunch of wires to one adress here, and then set up a distebution place here in europe. That would save all of us a lot of unnesseary fies

Thats crazy and can not be justified by Vishnu!

Why don't they just send a mail with USPS for $5? Two wires for $96,6 - god damn!

Don't they just feel that something is wrong when they see the amount they quote for two cables to their own loyal customer?

Vishnu should also declarare the goods as repair and state $10 as value.

As a reference I had two sets of DP's shipped from AR Design to Sweden for $80... they used USPS and it worked perfect with fast delivery.

Yeah, this sucks...

Shipping to Lithiuania is 76 USD (ups expedited). Already paid. Vishnu answered me that they did not use postal service.

My downpipes' shipment was $75 (10 days, postal service) and the box was probably like 10 times bigger than the wires' box.

Anyway, my wires have been shipped, looging forward to getting them.

wow thats so much...those living abroad should make a thread to see if people are visiting their area from the states and have them order it and bring it on a plane and meet up with you!!! Its probably almost impossible, but if you don't ask you won't know!

I beleive it has to do with the issue of bare wires going USPS and it getting held up due to suspicion. Start mailing a bunch of wires all over the world and the NSA shows up at your door.

I don't agree as I have lived in US and used them a lot when sending stuff home to Sweden.

Did you get tracking number from Mach? Should be easy to track them down!

This does not prove that the item actually has been sent.

I thought so too (was PITA for Mach), but my MFD scoops arrived and status of the shipment still was the same - "electroning shipping info received...".

Could you PM me your real name? I don't typically send emails regarding shipping prices, but I would like to see what our conversation consisted of. Also, you should only pay duties on about 5 dollars which is the value of the wires, but perhaps Denmark has strange rules?

It doesnŽt work like that, we have to pay tax (app 25%)on the freightcosts also
This is how it works in europe...
The cables did become unecessary expensiv.

To make it worse it is 25% tax + 10% customs fee on total value including shipping cost.

Yup have the same issue when receiving car goods from the US:
25% + 10 % on top of the total costs.

Plus it takes weeks / months to get it through customs (My procede took two months to get through) Main reason: lack of qualified personal at TNT / UPS

But if it's send as stock supply from business to business it might be cheaper, actually currently looking into to that.... Also marked as replacement part, things might be easier.

UPS guy delivered the CANbus wires 5 minutes ago. Package arrived in 5 days. Great.
But again.... It isn't even a box. Just an envelope. 76$ is way too expensive for shipping 2 wires. As I already wrote, shipping of my DPs (the package arrived in 10 days) was 75$, and at least 100 such envelopes could fit into DPs' box.

Anyway, I'm happy as I'll be installing the CANbus wires this weekend. Looking forward to feel the difference
