Are these truely brighter than RD's? I'd like to do a comparison if possible. PM me a price shipped to 41071

Another nice feature is that all hardware is concealed in the headlight. No mounting anything externally or exposed wires.

The HID's may seem brighter during the day since the color is not competing with the color of sunlight (5000K-5500K) and because the inner ring is far too bright. My experience seeing the HID's on other e92s in person, the inner ring is significantly over lit, to the point of being blinding when at eye level
+1 HID's are too bright on the inner ring. Rather have them light up evenly like on E90's.

there's no way to get even lighting on the e92, it's just not going to ever happen.

I'd rather see some 7500k temp LED's like the RD's just a LOT brighter - that way you'd have a bright, daytime visible light, and that icy white color that so many seem to want.

Still it looks like a pretty good step in the right direction, and I'm especially a fan of direct plug in upgrades that can get 100% stashed in the headlight assy.

We were going for more of an OEM looking color to match the headlights, that is why we chose 5000K for the LED. Although more blue will make the light stand out more in daylight, it was not something we were interested in.

Just ordered a set.

I'll post up pics comparing these with RD AE once I've got the AiB's.

EAS, do you have any pictures of the light or the design? With so many fails, a lot of people are very cautious.

The HID's I have are bright enough to reflect off the back of other peoples cars, in full daylight. Not sure if you'd be able to do the same with these.

I do really like that they don't require a separate wiring harness, or ballasts however.
I noticed that too. I had to take a picture of it .........
