Cool E90 335d M Sport Detailed

Evening All!

Had the great pleasure of spending 10 hours on Saturday on an E90 Post members 335d. Some of you may know the owner, Si, and I guess he'll post on here later.

The car is 2 years old and has been looked after very well. However, the car was dull and swirled. You'll see some great 50:50's and it's just a shame that the light was fading by the time we finished.

BMW paint has been slated for being really orange peely and really hard to correct. This was partly true, but the quality of the paint on Si's car was very good overall. Pretty much the same as other Sapphire black cars that I've done in the past. Must be something about the colour.

Now for the pics.

The paint condition

Bit of wetsanding

Some 50:50's

And to finish........

Reflection Shot.

UPDATE!

Worked a bit more on the car today and took some great pics. Here are just a few of them.......

Matt

Looks great Matt. Are you a pro-detailer then?

Did you use any particular wax to get the flake 'popping'?

Blimey, some marks close up on that paintwork but just shows what can be done. Intrigues me how you guys do all this, more so when you've seen first hand someone working on your own car.

Excellent results Matt, the car looks great.

I'm not a pro detailer. Just a keen amateur! We used Dodo Juice purple haze as the wax of choice this time. It works brilliantly on dark colours.

Excellent job Matt, Si's car looks stunning. I like the fact that you try different products. The guy who details my car is a good friend of mine but he too tries different products in the constant search of best finish / best value, we've tried all sorts on my car and whilst the car always looks stunning, it's amazing what a difference certain products can make.

Great job Matt.
I really like E90's on 225M's - that looks awesome.
Threads like this reinforce just how disguistingly dirty my car is...

The egged bit didn't come out. We filled the marks with paint and Si is going to pop back over this weekend and I'll continue to fill and refine the marks left by the egg. Hopefully I'll be able to make them less visible.

Hi guys!
Just to update you - Matt came over today as he wasn't entirely happy with results he produced after his 10 hour stint last Saturday!! After yet another 6 hours today, he eventually felt happier with the results and has added some additional pictures above which, I'm sure you'll all agree, show what amazing results he's able to produce! On top of that he's a really lovely chap, too and I can't recommend his enthusiastic service highly enough! Seriously, if you're considering giving your car a bit of TLC, please give Matt a shout - you won't be sorry!

Si.

Hey Si,

Any idea where those chocolate finger prints I've got on my M3 came from? LOL
