HPFP and wastegate extended warranty / TSB - when does it start and end?

Anyone know when the extended warranty's start?

I assumed it was from purchase date of the vehicle, but I just had a service rep @ the dealer tell me it's from the date the factory warranty expired - IE, a 2008 would be covered to 2022 for the HPFP (4 years, + 10 years for the TSB).

Anyone know for sure?

I was told a different story, turbos are extended to 82,000 miles or 8 years and HPFP is 10 years or 120,000 miles and extended warranty applies from the date the car was first serviced as in the record is being created in service department first time you do oil change for example right after purchase

Call the dealer or BMW NA. I just spoke to both within the past week.

The extended warranties applied to those parts start at the date the vehicle was in service. Effectively, when it was first purchased.

You are not covered thru 2022

Good luck with getting the wastegates done. I clearly have the turbo rattle and two separate BMW dealerships denied mine getting replaced. They said too many people fucked them over in the past. At least they didn't charge me for the diagnosis though.

When they replace the turbos and they send them back to BMW, and BMW doesn't find what they want to find wrong, they charge back the dealership, hence, they would not do mine. I promise you I went off on them and they showed me the door.
