I can't believe I'm saying this but just stick with VRSF for all those. You can buy slightly cheaper of all but not enough to be hassled with fitment and return issues. Not that it can't happen with VRSF but at least they have known customer service.

DP and charge pipe performance is here nor there (one brand won't give more performance than another) its just a matter of fitment. Their FMIC seems to a good balance between price and performance.

Go with VRSF. Sometime going cheap might end up getting more expensive. Do it right the first time. Good luck!

I'll be the devils advocate. I run CNT racing 3" downpipes, and have zero fitment issues. I got them for $230 shipped, brand new. They're excellent quality, the only issue I had was blowing out one of the gaskets they came with from MHD burble tune, or improper install, or a combo of both. If you wanna go REAL cheap, you could make your own DCI with auto zone shit, but if you're on that kind of budget, a 335i isn't the car for you, jus sayin.
Fuck Raceland dp's, those are a shit design. VRSF is the most proven option, but I took a chance on CNT ones, having used their other products with success I the past, and saved $120.

Ahh.. intercoolers
Price low to high, goes CX racing, and fabbing your own brackets/ connections up (can be done for like, $200) the ARM, at $300, which there's a huge thread on if you dig a few days back, and then the On3 7" at $360. Next up is VRSF, at $450. I'll let you form your own opinion on which is best.

All downpipes neck down to 2.5

If you are budget oriented, I would recommend buying a CIVIC, as your biggest expenses are not FBO parts, but maintenance and repairs.

With that said, rather the buying downpipes, just gut the OEM downpipes.
browse the classified section for an intercooler and charge pipe and BOV. You want a quality chargepipe so you don't have fitment issues and boost leaks.
If you want to get extremely cheap you can buy a knock off HKS or Tial BOV on ebay for $50. A few people I know run them with good results.

Chargepipe is overrated. My 8-year young FBO/inlet/outlet/Stage2 FuelIt e50 still has stock one.

Charge pipe is necessary for big boost but the 200u and 2008 oem ones were stronger than 2009+ if your car is2009+, id get.

True to a certain extent, the stock charge pipe from the 07 and 08 with the rubber elbow is less prone to cracking than the newer plastic oem charge pipes.

Mostly all the down pipes are straight from China, good quality if you don't know any better, several are the same just rebadged. Save money than gut your stock down pipe cats as the factory dps are just fine if gutted for 90% of people.

Now you can rule out any fitment issues.

I have a spare set here & have gutted plenty of cats in the past for people. You can pm me if you want.

Start with DPs and FMIC and get a custom 15psi tune. I've been running like this for years and recently upgraded to bigger turbos and 16psi and still running the factory CP and DVs. The trick is to have a good tune that doesn't have big boost spikes and the factory DVs release very quickly which avoids big pre-throttle boost spikes when backing off quickly. The boost target is just one part of the overall output of the engine. I can guarantee you that I'm making much more power on 16psi with bigger turbos than any stock turbo pushed to the absolute limit at 20psi and tapering to 17psi for example.

I think the stock CP handles 19psi spikes easily day-in day-out. The trick is to never allow boost to spike above this. a good 15psi tune will give you this.
