Has anyone used Ultra Shield?

Has anyone had Ultrashield film applied to their car? It's like a clear bra...supposed to prevent rock chips and bug stains.

It comes in pre-cut pieces to cover exposed areas like front bumper, hood and backs of side mirrors.

thanks

Are you happy with the results? I'm particularly interested to know if the film is more noticeable on the jet black paint.

Also, if you don't mind disclosing, what was your cost?

I am happy with they way the film looks on my jet black 3. LLumar film is more transparent and better for black cars
The installer says the film is more noticeable on darker cars. The seam of the film is the most noticeable (than the film itself)and it depends your viewing angle. I'll be posting up pix soon.

As the film ages you will notice the line on darker cars. Go to a BMW dealership and take a look at their lease turn-ins'.

Just had bumper and lights done, cost $250. If you see how much the front bumper and lights take in I think you will find it worth it. As for the hood, I skipped it just because about what I heard about the lines it will leave from my auto body guy.

I'm thinking of the same thing. Bumper, lights, mirrors, but no hood. Don't want that line. Thanks for the information!!

I had the whole kit put on at BMW Motorsports at the dealer. $499. I was assured that there won't be a "line" on the hood after it comes off and that the paint fades at the same rate as the uncovered section of the hood. Check back with me in three years

Is this available for the sides of the doors too since door strips are no longer installed on our E90? If not... any suggestion on how not to get dings besides parking miles away from the location you are going into?

It will provide just a bit little of cushion, but depends on how hard it gets hit by a swinging door.It will prevent any scratching the paint though.
I always park on the last stall .

Here is a pic of my E90 with the Venture Shield film - you can barely see the seam:
