Custom Exhaust
Im really looking to get a more aggresive sound for my 328i, but I dont really want to go the muffler delete route (gonna end up a little too noisy for me). I also cant really spend the big dollar on a nice axle back system. I think one person on here has already done this, but I want to put a universal straight-through muffler (glasspack) from magnaflow in place of the stock muffler, and then just do the custom piping and tips as if it was a muffler delete. Does this make sense to do? Would this be significantly quieter than delete but louder than stock? Thanks!!

Hey man here's a few segestions:
My setup: RD Sport muffler with no secondary cats. And soon I'm getting the technik engineering headers. Eisenmann sounds ok. I've heard better, but they do sound pretty nice. Supersprint will sound similar to my muffler, because RD Sport is owned by the same company. Supersprint might sound better in some cases, but will be pretty close. Rogue Engineering makes a nice muffler. I'd look into their stuff. I DO NOT recommend Dinan nor AC Schnitzer exhaust. pretty much any of the above with strait piping is gonna give some power and sound more aggressive than before. RE Ikon muffler is a bargain in my opinion for what you get. Then just delete your secondary cats and you got yourself a nice cat-back system for under a grand.

ok, so will any good muffler shop be able to custom make the piping? Just take the muffler and tips to them and expain that I want the secondary cats gone, the rest piped with the muffler to the tips?

Pretty much any 325/330 muffler would work you just have to ask the shop to bend pipes.

i have an 08 e92 / 335i coupe. I am having the entire AC Schnitzer aero package installed tomorrow including the rear diffusor. I ordered the Remus Exhaust system from Bavarian Auto. Do you think that will work on my car with the new AC Schnitzer rear? AC wanted $3000.00 for there exhaust. F that....
