AW E90 M3.....here at last!!!!!!!!!!

Picked up the M3 this morning, the dealer pulled out all the stops and got it ready in a day for me Hats off to Blue Bell in Crewe for a top service

The car was sitting outside the showroom doors freshly polished and valeted and I must say, was absolutely pristine and looked the Dogz!!

After signing the docs, they ran through the new I-drive with me, but to be honest I was just itching to get away and drive it

The run down the motorway was superb. The car rides a LOT better than than the M sport vert and you can tell the non RFT tyres are more compliant.

I have done about a hundred miles today, as well as fitting my rear window/roof spoiler, carbon grilles and reg plates. I will add to the write up as I get used to it but I can say that the logic 7 sound system is amazing and watching a music DVD on the HD screen whilst experiencing 13 speaker sound is a joy!

Some pics for now, will get some better ones up soon!

Paul, your new M3 looks stunning the white /red combination looks great and really suits the car. Like your personal plate, is the rear bootlid spoiler std as it looks to be mounted quite far forward on the lid?

I am really pleased for you and hope you throughly enjoy your new car.

Cheers Gibbo! Yes, spoiler is OEM, it is actually right on the edge, it's just the angled bit of the bootlid exaggerates the effect.

Paul,
Remind me, have you done this on a contract hire/lease basis, or did you purchase outright?

If you have leased, would you mind pm'ing me some details (terms/cost/supplier etc) as well as your full spec? I'd be very grateful.

What are your first immpressions of the DCT box?

Lovely Paul, that colour combo really suits it.

If you want somewhere to go to run it in, East Yorks is nice at this time of year ............I could have a good look around it then and a ride out. I'll let you drive mine if you let me drive yours

You know I'm really pleased for you.

Sheps, will PM you details in a few mins

Spec is Alpine White with Fox Red leather
DCT 7 speed
19" Alloys
Logic 7 Stereo
USB
High Gloss Shadowline
Carbon structure leather trim
Heated front seats
Sun protection glass
Bluetooth with telematics
BMW connected drive

The DCT is awesome - better than I ever imagined it. The gearchanges are faultless and so so smooth, making the power relentless. Difficult keeping it below 5.5k revs though! Round town I have kept it in auto. In comfort mode it pulls away in second. Had a run round some 60mph B roads and used the paddles and it changes into a different car. Not even pressed the M button yet or played with the M drive settings. Gonna get a few more miles under it's belt tomorrow and learn more.

Cheers Helen! Sounds like a good offer - could you handle the power lol - need to attend one of your Northern meets and enjoy some proper roads up north where everyone is too tight to drive their cars so roads are t'empty

I'd remove the whole plate and holder and put a stick on 'decal' type plate. I'd also size it down to 3/4's of the standard plate size. Just my 2 cents
