Bugs!!!!!!!!!!

Of the roadkill kind...

Now we have actually had some good weather here in the UK, the bugs are out in good numbers so I thought I'd ask whether anyone else reckons that the E90 seems to pick up more than its fair share ....

At the weekend, on a journey (in convoy) of about 150 miles, the front of the E90 ended up covered, while our Touareg didn't seem to collect half as many....I would have expected the reverse to be true....

Even the bugs are attracted to E90

Had a clear bra put on the just the front bumper along with the lights because of this. 3M makes a product, should not cost more than $250

I just got a quote for clearbra here in Houston, the 3M Xpel version, $698 to cover the hood, bumper, headlights, and mirrors. That's a lot of money, so I don't know yet if I'll do it. On the one hand, I'm spending so much money on the car anyway, what's another $700?

Mine is terrible for it - one week going to work and back (26mile journey) and its caked with em. I've never had a car that seems to collect as many and I used to drive a 325. Aerodynamics? Waxed mine recently to see if it makes it any easier to get the little blighters off but not tried as yet.

My theory is that it is a very upright front end......so rather than be deflected over, most of them just splat onto the front......I still find it amazing that the big Touareg actually caught fewer though......
