this is why i love the current maps, i don't need high boost levels for big power. I have 10 gallons of 104octane in the garage... i'm just waiting for the next procede update to get back on the dyno... that will be interesting

I love them too but feel the lower stages need some more fine tuning. It just feels that something, dont know what, is holding it back.Like its just waiting for that one adjustment to make it perfect.

Granted I was on an old stage 3 race gas map (I'm stage 1, non-canbus) so this is prob not a fair comparison, but I was holding boost to redline and his car was dropping boost from 17 to 13 psi. I was holding about 16. I'm sure my car was pulling massive timing up high, causing my trap speeds to be lower. (I did trap the same as him one pass, but my car was inconsistent. I think that shows the car pulls timing sometimes, and that one time didn't even though I held boost to redline).
I was one of BMS' beta testers and tested my N54 through various revisions before the final release of 1.3.

Interesting to note is that the race map I used against you was the very first beta race map converted to 1.3 specifications. It was a crude version that went through quite a few boost table revisions, IAT tapering changes, didn't have lagfix, and didn't have the upper end power that the final 1.3 has much more of. A few weeks after our race, I had gone to Gainesville using a revised 1.3 with most of the changes except without lagfix and had lower low-end torque. Oddly, I said to Terry that my boost was much lower (14.5-15 psi max) than I expected but I was assured by him that it can vary much more depending on conditions. I trapped 116+mph with that version. Then a month or so later armed with a race map with lagfix (finally), in much warmer conditions (DA of 1380), I went back to Gainesville and trapped 114 (except of course with DPs and DCI). I'm sure the race map now is much different than what I tested against you and maybe I'll have to do a rematch some time to compare the difference.

A bunch of you guys are drama queens, plain and simple. You live for this kind of stuff.

I don't care to get into another timing control battle, and frankly, I don't even care that my JB3 doesn't actively pull timing. Why? Because if you think .5-2 deg of ignition retard on top of double the factory boost pressure is doing anything worth mentioning to quench knock other than giving people a false sense of security, you're either ignorant to how engines work, or delusional...or both.

I said the same thing some months ago but you were the only one listening .

From my BT logs, compared to stock, DME is subtracting 3-4 deg while using Procede in stage 0. So, for a true "active timing control" almost 6 deg of retard are needed respect to standard tune. This is in III gear... probably at higher speeds the needed retard is greater (but the Procede is always using -0.5 / -2.5deg independently from gear) .

I hope that something has been addressed with REV II canbus. I'm using revI.. at least I was using it.

From few days after Procede install, my turbos become louder at partial throttle. No loss of performances or oil consumption, but now I'm a little worried and I prefer to run stock in case something goes wrong when I'm far from home. Fingercrossed.

I think there is an impending GB with a "rumored" $500 FMIC on the heels of the already underway $300 catless DPs.
