Post Need Advice: Lower or Not?

Hi Guys,

I just got my new 19" rims installed on my E90 Sedan today. It looked great however I have a feeling that it needs a bit of lowering....

Currently there is a 2 inches gap between the tires and the fenders curve.

My Aim:
To lower it a bit without ruining my suspension/shocks.
To keep the ride as soft as possible. (Closest to original feel of ride)

My quesions:
1. Do you recommend I should lower it?
2. If yes, is Eibach Pro Kit Springs any good?
3. If not, what do you recommend?

Photos below.

Thanks in advance....

Mark

I would suggest coilovers if you have the extra money over springs. Many people who go with springs initially end up regretting it and changing to coilovers. Also with a good set of coilovers you will have much more control over your suspension characteristics. Springs will just lower the ride height and you are stuck with the ride you get. Depending on how much money you are willing to spend, you can buy a coilover kit that will adjust the ride height, rebound, and shock dampening. I would suggest going with KWv2 or Bilstein PSS9.

I just bought a set of H&R sport springs and I love them. The ride seems fine to me and it looks great. I would have gone with coil overs but i didnt have an extra $1400 sitting around. The only bad thing is you I just have to be super careful about parking and going over speed bumps

KW v2s will get rid of those gaps and give you a great ride as well.

I have the eibach's and its a great drop. Not as aggressive as the h&rs but thats not what I was going for anyway.

Def needs dropping. If you do springs only, dont expect your dampers to last forever. Do the whole lot if you can.
