330d remap ecu

Hi, I've just bought an e90 330d m sport and want a remap or ecu remapped etc.

Can anyone recommend a company that offers the best solution, ie maximum bhp increase ???

Thanks
Daniel

Try Evolve, they get around 300bhp output from the 330d.

I'm going thru' the same process.

Currently i've shortlisted to;

1. Bluefin (superchips) tunes via OBD socket seems fairly simple and easily removeable.

2. E maps - guy called simon seems to know his stuff and will come to you.

There's lots of others

DMS, Evolve, ChippedUK,

all seem to offer around +40-50 bhp and +80-100nm torque.

I personally have ruled out the tuning boxes.

Based on what I've read here, I'd say no to Chipped UK...

If you're quick and ready to make a decision soon, Evolve have extended their group buy 'till the end of May (on their switch box product).

Follow this link to a great short term review on the remap for the 335d:

(if you search the forum you'll find the dyno graphs for the 330d Evolve remap product)

http://www.e90post.com/forums/showthread.php?p=5146762

It appears lots of this forum's members have chosen Evolve. I joined the end of the group buy a few days ago and should receive my switch box shortly!

Can I ask you why you've ruled them out? Any particular reason?

Better if driven sensibly.

Think of it as an economy remap first and foremost.

(The performance increase is a nice bonus.)

I transferred my bluefin from my Focus ST .. cost me 200 notes. Happy to report lots more power and torque .. no less MPG so far trouble free last 5k miles and when it comes to service time .. i take the map off .. just in case.

You can discuss all you want really .. pretty much all tuners offer around 50 bhp gain .. and in real road driving terms there is going to be pretty much nothing in it. The power delivery in low gears hits you like a brick wall if you toe it.. but move up the gears it's nice and progressive. A word of warning however.. if you have RFT and it's wet .. do yourself a BIG favour and leave the DSC on.. The huge increase in torque and serious lack of grip in the wet means it's very easy for the rear end to try and overtake the front end !!. Best part is that you will quite happily give a E46 M3 a nice surprise by tagging on his / her ass in the dry !!!

So, Daniel, have you made your decision yet?

It's a no-brainer to have Evolve to do it, imo.

Daniel came in today. He left with 296 BHP and a shade under 500 ft/lbs Torque.

I have another batch coming in Wednesday (hopefully) next week. We have extended the GB until all of those are sold. There are 6 left from that batch.

Evolve will rewrite your ECU if it is overwritten by BMW, FOC, as far as I understand, reading the writeup on their site.

Top service/backup or what?

Versus a standard 335d?

We have some times, check my quarter mile post table post.

But the 330d times were set on a rough day, Id say a re-mapped 330d would be very close. If not as quick as a standard 335d.
