Yeah, I reckon an Evolve mapped 330d would be a very close match for a standard 335d as the power/torque outputs are similar.

Can't wait to get myself up to Evolve!

Toughts on the Remap.....

Well, as the post from Evolve says, had the car done, 296 bhp......

Done a bit of 'testing' etc, on the motorway back home....... Just cruising in sixth gear and the acceleration was plenty enough to get a bo**ocking of the missus!! As for 0-60 times, one was 5.3 and the other 5.5....... dry conditions and the car snakes around struggling for grip. Its turned into more of an animal now !!! V. Happy, highly recommend, haven't really taken much notice of the MPG, but still said over 40 mpg even with the sporadic acceleration up the M1..

How long did it take for the remap Daniel?

Was it put on the rolling road?

Took about 2hours from start to finish, setting up etc. Took an initial reading from the rolling road which was 239bhp, then a further one after the upload of software, which was 296bhp.

How do I get a pic of my car on the side of the screen like yours ?????

She won't drive it - too fast as it is and an auto. Its a bit different to her MG ZR 1.4!

It just looks too small to me. I know K+N used rolling road tests on these Apollo kits as my car was used. I wonder if they will release the gains.

that tubing design will do nothing for air flow. It will be loud but possibly even down on power from standard. I'd recommend stick with stock on the induction front...

Indeed; same here, I hate these boy-racer induction kits!

They have their purpose when tailored properly to the car airflow characteristics. NOT just a random piece of elasticated piping though and expect magic because you've heard of K&N panel filters so this must be good too. LOL.

For example. a company on the italian and french scenes, GSR Engineering. Can indepenantly dyno backup their product with 5-8% power gains on the 1-2.2 litre engines... Not bad for 200 notes in that case. But the viper and k&n kits lose significantly against the stock airboxes! Guess which kits sell better - chavs and their giro checks

Yeah, can't really believe that kit would make a huge amount of difference. Especially with a big bit of squidgy piping.

Had a nice Carbonio CAI on my R32 though which actually worked, but then again was a lot less restrictive than the stock airbox in that car and had a nice thick tube running from ground level (at filter) to the engine intake. Was totally put off trying some of the others that looked like the K&N one to be honest...just wasn't convinced by a filter and some elephant tubing.
