Bentley vs. 335 - Guess? - BMW 3-Series (E90 E92) Forum

So, I was driving my dad's Bentley this weekend, and I can't believe how fast it is. Everyone who's been around here for awhile knows that I'm no car expert, especially about speed etc. But to ME, it was unbelievable how fast the car was.

I have never been challenged to a race and I'm on my 3rd BMW. I was thinking it's probably because I'm a chick or because I have a 328 cabrio.

So anyway, all of a sudden, everyone and their mother (literally, a mom) wanted to race me. I let them all take off in front of me, something was more satisfying about pulling up to them at the next stoplight and looking over and waving.

Anyway, racing is stupid and I have never done it, but this asshole who thought he was soooooo cool pulled up to me in a 335 coupe and started revving his engine. I looked over and laughed at him, which made him even more angry. So, when the light changed I thought, OK, well it's not really RACING (deep down, I know it was) if I just gun it until I get to 50 mph (in a 40 zone). So, I did - and he was still at the light by the time I was gone.

Was a good dose of reality for me, because sometimes I think I'm pretty cool in my lowly 328.

people know the 328's got not balls, ESPECIALLY a convertible....that's like the slowest of the line up...then ur also a chick..that is why no one challenges you.

It doesn't matter what kind of car you have, there will always be someone with a smaller weiner than you who has to prove something to himself - it must be twice as bad for you, being a lady driving such a nice car.

I would like to add, sure the 328 aint a 335, heck...its not a lot of other vehicles. Ball-less, is not the term I would use.

There, still no flames... truth is, you make a lot of valid statements. I wouldnt pull up next to any lady driving a drop top and try and drag her. Any dude that does that really needs to get a gripi, Lol!

Must have been fun to cruise the Bentley. Which one was it?

The only "races" I get challenged to are teenagers in some non-sporty American car (like a Malibu or Focus). I let them peel out and don't bother. I'm sure there's some Charger-wannabe out there posting "My Dodge Avenger pwned a BMW 335xi"

i raced my cousin in his bentley gt coupe presidential edition i had a jb2,intake and muffler delete and we were head to head those things are beast's bro a stock 335i could not stand a chance.

335 revs at 328 vert... doesnt race, and flips the bird to the op...what a fucked up person haha

damn do you really have an LS 600 hL? i sat in one of those once that car is sick.

i think i saw a youtube video once of an LS 600 drag racing an audi a8 and it was probably the most quiet drag race I have ever witnessed. Not a sound.

I can't find it now though.
