Swirls not coming out Help!! - BMW 3-Series (E90 E92) Forum

hay guys i have alot of spiderweb swirls and hazing that are just not coming out this is what my procces is

1.wash dry car.

2.us 3m scratch remover aka(light compound)with 3m compound foam pad

3.use 3m perfect it ultra fine machine polish with 3m polish foam pad

4.use mothers synwax for a nice seal

why the hell are the swirls not coming out iam using a copy of the makita rotary witch imho it pretty close to the makita it self

i cant believe that the polish and compound is not even doing anything at all what do i do to get these swirls gone

Try using a random orbital polisher (RO) instead of a rotary polisher.

I think rotary polisher can cause holograms and buffer trails.

better polishes would fix that. give menzerna SIP and PO85RD a try

I have to assume your car is black? I would completely get away from using a foam pad on black I think. Like the previous post stated, I would try an orbital with a microfiber cloth on it. I had plenty of drying swirls in mine and now they are all gone! You have to be patient with black and make sure you over lap your passes!

What's your experience with using a rotary?

You shouldn't be moving on to a finer polish or LSP unless the defects you wanted to remove are gone.

i think iam just ganna take doms advice and go with sip and po85rd that was my first choice anyways but i stumbled upon a auto paint store and couldnt help myself but buy the 3m

and no my car is not black its montego blue

my new process

1.wash dry
2.clay
3.Manzerna sip (with 3m foam compunding pad waffle)
4.Manzerna po85rd(with 3m foam finishing pad waffle )
5.zymol cleaner wax
6.wash dry
