Passo Stelvio

I know you guys have heard of this place. A good friend and I went down there yesterday and had a look. We took his 335 coupe and it was, as we expected, a solid performer. The last pic is of a parking lot which contained about 2 million euros worth of exotic cars. Thank you, Herm. Enjoy the pics.

We wanted to make it there on our ED but, couldn't. We also wanted to check out the grossglockner (spelling?). They both look awesome. I'm jealous.

Wow thats awesome! I was reading on the Finalgear website that a couple people have tried to do that, and a few times in the year its relatively busy so you cant "race" per say, but you can still enjoy the road.

You wont be 'Racing' that's for sure. There are bicycles, motorcycles and cars. The switchbacks are much to tight and you have to stick to the outside of them as much as possible. You can have a spirited drive at times. Still, it's just an incredible sight. Photos don't do it justice.

Great. Now I have to watch that Top Gear episode again right now.

(I'm sure everyone here has seen it but just in case... http://videos.streetfire.net/video/T...est_164141.htm)

It's only two and a half hours outside of Munich. That drive is also nice especially when you get into the Garmisch area.

Reminds me of Trollstigen in Norway. Drove on it two years ago, albeit in a Mercedes Viano (fat pig minivan thing) which was actually not enjoyable - would be extremely fun in a 335i though.

that's in italy right? or switzerland? I forget... but it is an awesome road, AND you need to have quite some skill to go there to perform... otherwise you can just take it slow... I personally would just take it slow... it takes some courage (insane amounts) to go blasting down those twisties even if it is a BMW... the best, or rather, one of the best handling cars out there.. gotta be careful
