Difference from BMS single,to duals?

Has anyone gone from a BMS single intake,to the dual cone one and felt any difference, whether good or bad?

BMS dual

Yes, I switch from single to the dual BMS cones.
Here are a few reasons:
1. Dual are relatively easier to install and no "burnt" markings on the sides of filters after a couple of weeks.
3. Duals have a louder, BOV, racier sound that you can hear inside the cabin and outside especially at lower revs and when shifting gears.
4. Duals are my personal preference since I assume the larger the filter/s the better the cooling properties.

It is difficult to say if their is a difference in power output between the filters unless you dyno the car, which I have not done.

Yes,it is definitely louder. But now I want to quickly explain a discovery I made which I am sure is not really a discovery, i just did not pay attention. I met up with a friend who owns the 2007 335 coupe in the week, with the BMS duals installed and we were comparing notes and sounds and how the bmw performance strut brace is now fitting perfectly with the stock airbox removed. He noticed that my bonnet does not have a cover underneath (which his coupe has) which could also account for the fact that the sound is louder in my 2009 335 sedan - but by loud, I dont mean intrusive just more pronounced. We have the european spec bmws, so i am just wondering if all 2009 versions come without the bonnet cover.

I already have the single BMS intake, can I just use those couplings and buy a set of nice dual filters to attach them to the car?

Yes, the couplings for the duals and single filter are exactly the same in length and diameter.

Definetely can use the couplers from the single to the duals.I ordered the dual cones from Terry at BMS.He told me if you have the single already, all you need are the dual cones as the couplers are the same.
