Feeler: CSL style bootlid for the E90s - BMW 3-Series (E90 E92) Forum

Just want to see if there is enough interest for the CSL style bootlids. These are full replacement trunks made with either full carbon fiber or woven fiber. If there is enough interest then perhaps I can offer a special GB price for fellow members here.

So what is woven plastic, does it need to be painted.

the other material does not have the "bling" quality of CF would...so i'm sure you would want to paint it. Heck, if i got CF hood and trunk i would paint it as well. No need to show it off

Theres no like fiberglass or something? I'm down-- but $800 for a trunk, is just a little too much to ask for and I don't like the way CF looks.

When it comes to the price, I say to myself: stay with the stock. I love my OEM spoiler...and pass this.

Looks GREAT. but how's fitment? I don't want any spastic body seams. (what did I just say?? lol

the prices are too high!!! you can get a nice CF HOOD for like $800, and that's much more material, and structural support.

Go lower prices, then we'll all want one. =)

The prices posted by Steve are retail. We are trying to gauge interest from this thread to see if there is enough for a GB price.

Woven plastic is a new composite material used to replace the use of fiberglass reinforced plastic and also wetlay fiberglass.
As with any other material it does need to be painted if you want it to match your vehicle color.
