The transmission control doesn't run through the ECU, but you can always get the tuning gauge and do on the fly map switching if you so desire.. as well as making a custom map to suit your desires.

Not a good idea if you plan on tracking the car. The throttle is WAY too twitch in DS. It's almost impossible to modulate the throttle.

Let me get this straight... You are swapping out parts designed by some of the top engineers in the world because some guys sponsored by a company told you it's "better??" But when you ask the same guy about tracking, "oh no, I have a kid now" or "I just detailed my car." or "i just got new tires."

im going to have to jump on the why would u want that. In theory if the computer didnt have to adapt it would be cool.
But doing a stock map to something crazy your car would be jerky as balls.. Why not just run a map you enjoy and if you want to conserve fuel/tires just control it like the rest of us with your foot. |

^ +1 Just run the right map appropriate to your octane or mods as your daily driver. Most of the maps have stock driveability but modded performance.
But I could understand not wanting to get the boost gauge but still change maps on the fly without having to stop/start the car. But if conspicuousness is your angle, just put the boost gauge in your ashtray and no one would know the wiser. |
