I'd like to place an order today

I couldn't (and still can't) access your website yesterday!

Will call as well today- I'm considering these to maintain my ride height because I've heard the old BMW performance suspension kit I'm about to install may raise my current height 0.5".

I've actually had a relatively difficult time determining this on this site. I'm looking to do my install next Saturday here in Colorado. I'm hoping this can ship on time!

So what's the verdict regarding bump stops? Should we modify the stock bump stop (cutting 0.5") to compensate for the reduced suspension travel caused by these spring perches?

With stock springs we dont cut them. If the car has lowering springs we trim the bump stops 1/2"

Thx for the response. I don't want to pester you, but I am certainly interested in these to lower my stock car with stock sports suspension, but can you explain the rationale behind not needing to cut the bump stops?

From the image below, it seems that the spring perch works by compressing the the shock full-time, so you will experience reduced suspension travel. Wouldn't it be beneficial to trim the bump stop slightly? Or am I completely wrong?

You can trim them if you like. We dont trim them though. You wont hurt the suspension either way. We have not experienced the car bottoming out from not trimming them with the stock springs on the stock shocks hence we dont trim them

Thanks, I've just ordered.

I'll probably trim about 0.2" at the bottom and 0.2" at the top, rather than 0.5" at the bottom.

Ordered! This is the first mod for my 2011 335 coupe. I took delivery Monday and though I know the springs may settle a bit I was not expecting the 4x4 stance with the MSport kit on a RWD E92.

Going to pair these with Prokits and Z3M bumpstops. Thanks!

Not sure I'm happy with the perches. I don't like the fact that the factory upper spring pad can not be used.

I definitely feel and hear some noise without that pad in there and it's not my car as the car is brand new (less than 1,000 miles) and was dead silent before the perch install.

It's not anything loud but at low speed turning (pulling in and out of the garage, tight parking, etc) you can feel a bit more harshness in the steering wheel and can hear a little bit of what sounds like metal groaning - I'm guessing that's the metal spring on the metal perch.

It's too bad because the drop with Eibach Prokits is perfect in the front and the ride quality is almost identicle to stock. It's everything I wanted but lacks the dead-silent refinement that the stock setup had.

I'm probably going to re-sell them and switch to H&R Sports and factory perches. I'll post some pics up in the suspension forum before I do so at least people will have an idea of what pro-kits and perches looks like on an LCI coupe.

boostd92:

100% your install has a flaw in it.

We have installed over 80 pairs of these in house with ZERO noises

The problem has nothing to do with the rubber thin piece being used.

Its either one of the following:

1. When you tightened the top nut of the shock you didnt hold the shaft and it spinned while you tried to tighten the nut which in turn didnt tighten at all. This is the most common error people make when installing any aftermarket spring or our perch in an E90 or E92. If you tighten this nut properly the noises and strange feeling you get will be elimnated

2. You did not seat the perch all the way down onto the spring. The end of the spring must go to the end of the perch. There is a built in spring on the perch which holds and locks the spring into place.

NO noise will come from the assembly if you properly install the item and make sure the top nut is tightened

I am 100% confident in this product. We have sold 150 pairs now and everytime there is a noise complaint it was due to an improper installation and the problem was isolated and solved

If you need help just call us! We would be happy to get you resolved as well.

If its after hours call my cell 714 981 4223 and I will help you out

Thanks!

A little update: got the supreme perch installed. Got rid of some of the fender gap in the front and IMO the drop is perfect because I can still get in/out of most driveways in downtown.

PS - the DIY is extremely tedious because the stock sport spring is quite long. If you reuse stock springs, I recommend a professional install with the right tools.. unless you have two sets of spring compressors (4x)
