For anyone who is interested, I335 etc.

Pictures of my Porsche 944.

Will take some more of the interior etc. few things to do in there, the gear gaitor is the incorrect colour, trying to source the correct colour one and the drivers seat has a tear in the bolster, not too bad though I will get done as these are the only points which lets the car down. It has a period radio/casette player fitted which doesn't work, window relay has been ordered in the meantime I have an extra switch inside the car.

Also trying to track down if the wheels were an optional extra (they are fondmetal, all I can find out about the company is that they ran a rubbish F1 team in the early 90's!!)

Hope someone appreciates it but if not, oh well, I like it and thats all that matters.

I payed no where near the amount the car is actually worth, if I was to say what I payed it actually insults the car into making people believe it is not as good as it is, so I'd rather not say, thanks. If I was to sell it when the small amount of work needed on the interior has been done, I would not accept less than 4000 for the car (which is a very good amount for a 2.5 944).

The man got rid of the car as he is buying a narrow boat to spend time on the canals for 2 years, his advert in my opinion did not describe the car accurately when I went to look at it, I was actually extremely surprised how good the car was.

Seen as I once looked at a concours 924S, I can safely say the exterior of this car is every bit as good. Interior, needs a small amount of work to get it up to standard.

Thankyou You know how long I've been waiting to get another '44

No it hasn't got a widebody, it's got over sills and a rear valance, can't see anything else that is not standard apart from the wheels, well technically the lot is standard, all genuine stuff, that could be opted from new not many did have the lot, wheels especially are very rare! Not all have front fogs either (my old one didn't), the colour and over sills make the flared arches stand out.

Absolute minter!

Not sure about the colour but it looks excellent other than my taste in colour! Suits its 80's retro look though! Who needs a Quattro?

Yep it's a very retro colour mind you it's a very retro car, I love it on this car but would probably say yuck on anything that was more modern

I genuinely like it and have always had a soft spot for the 944.

Best car you have had since you joined the forum .. by a country mile.

Best colour IMO, used to have a Guards Red one that was totally standard with the pepperpot alloys, gold suits the car much better!

Considering I've not been this excited about a car since I bought my first Porsche which had a lot of soul, spirit and really upset me to sell, due to stupid bosses at company constantly moaning about it and not understanding that Jewey didn't enjoy really heavy traffic, neither did I 70's 911s have clutches like a block of concrete

This one is probably my most favourite car that I've bought, to be honest I'm totally buzzing about it, so unless anything happens like me winning the lottery and buying that Carrera RS this car WILL be kept until I can afford something like a pre-SC 911, 968 ClubSport or a 928GTS manual, none of which are going to happen soon!

Thanks

Believe this or not I've been looking for another 944 since the day my other went (it was written off, as a Renault Megane crashed into it ) just none were quite right until this one came along Knew I'd have another 944 though one day

That looks very nice - I reckon a much better buy than the Alfa you were considering and certainly in better condition than you could have expected! In fact, the condition looks stunning...is it really that 'new' looking in real life?

Also, it looks very low? Is that standard suspension on it?
