How many have had Wideband sensors up front? I am not saying they are more likely to fail due to leaded fuels; I do not know. But if Narrowband units can get contaminated, I suspect Wideband units would be more susceptible.

Here is a list of race fuels available at the Cayuga, Ontario track

$1.80 94 Octane
$4.00 C12
$5.00 C14
$6.00 C16
$4.00 MS103
$4.00 VP Red
$6.00 Q16
$2.75 Meth

Are all of these leaded and which would you take? i have 94 sunoco at the pump here for almost half the price...

I am cattless also... I mix about 6 gallons of C16 with 93 when I use high octane gas. I whant to know if C16 is leaded or unleaded fuel and if it is safe for n54 engines. I allready loose an o2 sensor but not while using the race gas mixture...

Hi Shiv,

I checked the last map Procede stg1 6MT with UT=10 and 20%, only changing wastegate dc limit to 60% respect default, the car run very good, only I have some Knock=1 that you told me that they are normal. I changed the ignition advance to 0 instead 100 % and it was equal, I hope that all is ok.

Shiv am I doing correctly the read of codes? I tried with ignition on and push the throttle at the bottom: I can see the engine simbol but with the procede reader started I canīt see nothing. What am I doing bad?

Thank you

Cheers

You changed ign advance from 100% to 0?? He has said many times that is pretty much a race gas setup... not for use with pump gas. Wait for the documentation before you speculate on what to do!!

In theory when you set to 0% ignition correction, procede doesnīt modify the DME rules, that is read in the old documentation,

Please how can i Read the DME codes?

Thank you

Please leave all the defaults alone until you read the documenation that I'm writing now. Please don't mess around with ign correction % until you understand what it does and how to dial it in.

IMO you need to make a tune that people can adjust but not hurt the car with. Regardless of your good intentions the day some-one's motor goes bam due to bad tuning on a PROCede, you will never convince anyone it was the guy's fault, and your product will suffer really bad press. I mean people will try shit regardless of warnings. Only time they wont try it, is if its literary a loaded gun when you tell them shooting yourself with this object will result in your death, otherwise a certain percentage will try even if they have no clue what it is it does or how they are affecting it by adjusting values. You really need to put in fail safe measures that will protect the engine at all costs.

335i's are so cheap in your country.

In Australia they are $130k, so no need to worry about people uneccessarily risking their engines

Could easily buy two 335i's in the US for the price of one here

I respectfully disagree. If people can't read directions or follow repeated suggestions, they shouldn't be modifying their cars. Any mod has a potential to lead to expensive repairs if not done properly. Hope this statement does not offend anyone since that was not my intention.

That is totally insane. What kinda salaries are you guyz making to pay so much for cars. Here you can get a new reasonably equiped one for less than $50K. A year old one for mid $30's even. I couldn't imagine paying 130K for a 335i, let alone a M6.

I finished writing it up this afternoon. I just need to do some logs in my car for examples. Plan to do that tomorrow night, traffic permitting.

Maybe he could employ a top secret, proprietary method of controlling timing.

At current conversion rate 130k AUD is approx 105k USD for a new 335i.

Australia is the land of being ripped off. 40% income tax, socialist govt, failing health care system, average real estate is 9.5x average household income, etc etc.

I mainly deal in slave labour and also dabble in firearm sales.

sorry for the O/T

Yea wow thats just ludacris, I cant believe that, hey america is going to be the next socialist country with the way were spending money over here. I but our income tax will be 60% here in the future. We have a very poor economy, unemployment on the rise, retail sales awful, credit tight as a drum, and home sales terrible and credit defaults are about to get worse. But we need a 1.3 trillion healthcare system? Im not sure we can afford that right now. I cant believe 105K for a new 335, hell would it be cheaper to buy a US Model and ship it over there?? Or can you not have a LHD car over there?

Wrong i also disagree, DONT MESS WITH IT IF YOU DON'T KNOW WHAT YOUR DOING! HIS PRODUCT DIDNT FAIL THE PERSON CONTROLING IT DID. Theres no reason to put an extra fail safe in, you just need to know how to tune it and if you dont and are stupid enough to change settings that you dont know what they will effect then you deserve to blow your motor up. That is just straight stupidity.

I think everyone is in the same boat at the moment!

It would be cheaper but we are RHD only so it wouldn't work out as the govt wouldn't approve it for road use and won't allow importation of vehicles that are already available here. Only old cars or cars that were never available here can be shipped in.

It's actually funny, the pontiac GTO over there is an aussie car. Here it's called Holden Monaro HSV or something and is your typical red neck V8. They are around 50k USD here and something like 30k USD over there!

I doesn't matter what you or even I say. Its a known fact, ask any marketing major you don't believe it. The product gets tainted for no fault of the manufacterer at all, and the user at fault. Just the way shit works. Right or wrong does not apply. BTW, I am not saying this is what SHOULD happen, just saying this is what WILL happen if some idiot blows up their motor with some silly tuning adventure. Its just human nature.

That's the same for us. 60K to 110K $US.
The US are known for beeing the country for "cheap" cars. Importing would be for shure a good deal.

This is totally O/T, but since you mentioned it I might as well say one thing. Being a physician myself, it should be a right of every citizen to have healthcare coverage. How we get there, that's the hard part. But not a single tax-paying American deserves to be without it.
