July Meet - brain storming...
Alright guys... it's about time. weather's nice. though been very busy with the work thesedays, i think we all be missing out if we don't get another meet setup this month...
this is not an official announcement yet as i have no idea where and when. just throw it out there to see what y'all think... reply with your idea of where and when so that we can see the trend/tendency. "anywhere anytime" kind of comment won't help... i would prefer to do SOMETHING rather than just sit there and do nothing but i'm open to anything... alki, golden garden, east gate, and XXX(?) in issaquah(?) - the burger shop(?)are some of places that comes up to my mind...

Oh wow. Bad timing. I posted my suggestion in Johnny's thread. Ignore that, I'll copy and paste it here.
EDIT: IT MUST BE A DRIVE! What you see below is a photo of a map with the "great driving road" highlighted in green. I found this posted on the NW regional section of www.the370z.com It's in Federal Way...a bit far, or just right? Doubt you're going to find any good driving places around here in Seattle and Eastside anyways, so it might be worth going down there. Here's the entire route mapped out on Google: http://maps.google.com/maps/ms?ie=UT...d8c43&t=h&z=11 Ignore the random destination markers along the driving loop - I had to add those in to keep the tracer from cutting through residential roads. Google says getting to the starting point of the driving loop from the Eastgate P&R will take about 30 minutes. The driving loop is about 48 minutes. Then of course, driving back home which will take an additional 30 or so minutes. So with some math that comes out to be 1 hour and 48 minutes worth of driving... What do you guys say? Should we meet at the P&R at noon, stomachs filled and cars fueled up so we can minimize the amount of stops we have to make along the way for food/gas. Let me know what you guys think EDIT: Found more photos on www.the370z.com Mt. Rainier.... that would be awesome! Especially now with this kind of weather...no ice/snow here Last edited by TWiTCHY; 07-04-2009 at 01:14 PM.. |

I have no idea of when and where, but I would love to get one on Sdaturday. It will also be great if we can get some rolling shot and drive for a liitle bit, then it will be awesome. We should drive to somwhere else that has nice veiw, resturant and big parking lots for all us to park. Thanks for making this thread David.

That sounds good to me. Snoqualime Casino has a really good buffet in there, but you have to be 21 to get in right? Then a lot of people will not be able to get in lo~ Example, Jeff

That route looks too urban for a drive. Look at the satellite image, tons of houses and neighborhoods all along the entire route. Great if you want to cruise in traffic at 30 MPH....
Really great drives take a lot of time, and preferably not on a weekend: North Cascades Highway 20 Up to Paradise on Mt. Rainier (Awesome views and you can get some food at the top.) You can even loop around on Chuckanut Drive from Bow Hill Road. Here is a 52 mile, 2 hour loop that should be quite fun (I've never done it myself though...) Chuckanut/Bellingham/Lake Whatcom Loop From Bellevue to the loop, driving the loop and back to Bellevue is 200 miles and 4 hours. Figure 1-2 hours for stops (photo ops, lunch) and you've got a full day of it.

Vancouver in our state? Never been there but I've been to the one in BC. There's a ton of great Chinese (sea)food up there, and a really cool car accessories shop called Cartronics. I'm going up there in a few days and I'll see if I can take some pics of it to show you guys. I think it's awesome
Anyways, I'm in for Rainier. I don't know if I'll prefer an E92 or E93...Part of me is saying I'll be safer in a roll over accident in the E92, and another part of me is saying I'll have better photos if I take 'em from a 'vert. Hmm... How fast are you guys planning to drive |

I'm up for anything. I generally work Sat morning until noon. I'm taking off the 10th for a track day at Pacific Raceways.
