Self installing OEM alarm void any warranty?

Will installing an BMW OEM alarm myself possibly void any warranty down the road. Everything is prewired for a BMW alarm, but I'm afraid any dealer might use that as an excuse if I have an electrical problem, bug , recall or warranty issue.
what do you guys/gals think?
