Dinan Camber Plates provide a remarkable reduction of understeer and more immediate turn-in from the new 3 Series by inducing .5 degree more negative camber on the front wheels. The additional negative camber provides more grip in the turns, reducing the vehicle's tendency to plow the front end for those who drive a bit more aggressively.

A quick look at your front tires will tell the story. If you are noticing significant outside edge front tire wear, perhaps even a bit of "cupping", you are definitely a candidate for the Camber Plates. Not only will the extra camber improve the 3's handling, but you'll also likely notice more even tire wear, assuming you continue to corner aggressively.

has anyone heard how hard this is to put on? or any other info?

Sounds like i may give this a try. The last paragraph is exactly on target. Withi my new e90 330i AND my previous e46 330ci, The stock camber setup forces the front tires to cup throughout wear which FORCES the user to change the front tires even if the center tread is far from needing replacement... I would know this because i just had all four's changed with Michelin PS2's. Does dinan have and pics of this, im VERY interested.

I'm interested as well. The outside edge tire wear you are talking about is called feathering, not cupping. BMWs are notorious for it. My tires look like a skill saw blade.

mine also look horrible... i have been very easy on my tires since i started noticing this. there were no pictures on dinans site... im just wondering how hard it will be to install... do you think this would void any warranty??

I'm interested too. My daily commute is all windy back roads and I love to zip through the turns. A friend of mine thought my tires were bald but it's just the extreme outside edge that looks bald.

This sounds like an actual engineering flaw to me.... Similar to the camber problem on the 350Z. Nissan actually new about the problem early on and starting recalling all of the cars. One of my friend's has a 350z and he's recieved 2 sets of free front tires already. It seems that Nissan didn't get it right the first time.....

My tires feathered badly and made a lot of road noise. I just had an alignment and new tires installed. They said my alignment was off and that caused the uneven wear. I paid for new tires, dealer paid for alignment and installation of new tires. These new tires better stay quiet!

Labor units - 10 units = 1 hour

I talked to Dinan rep and he said unless you corner hard often, you will experience inside wear (cupping). The information for the set is misleading as outside tire wear is known as feathering.

Are you guys still experiencing any abnormal tire wear or noise? I have had tires replaced, the vehicle aligned 2x and still pretty significant feathering. I ran my hands along the outside edge of a demo e90 and a few of the e90 loaner cars when at the dealership and some were as bad as mine, some a little better. I wish BMW would address this issue and offer a fix (ie. Camber plates or new alignment guidelines, whatever is needed). I guess it could be worse

Camber should be adjusted OEM in the first place, which isn't possible. I don't know Dinan, it's from the USA. I think I can get some of these in EU too.
I'm a trackday user, as many here may know (this sunday to the Nordschleife) But sometimes I 'm having a lot of understeer.

REMEDY. NO CAMBERPLATES, NO!

Just buy a 130i M. Or a M3 CSL. LOL

What kind of wear are the folks that are putting there E90s on the track getting?

Edit: I see Robin Hood complains of understeer, but what are the tire wear patterns like?

Im tempted by this product because my old 325i had horrible wear on the outside rims of the tires. Has anyone actually bought any of these yet?

I talked to a guy who works at a tire store. He said just put more pressure than what BMW recommended cus BMW only cares about how the car handles not the wear on tires. He recommended 32 on front and 35 on rear on my 325i with sport pkg. Yes! my tires are feathered too. However, after the increase in pressure, tires started to wear much more evenly.

Well my tires are wearing like crap in the front, I sure hope BMW fixes this supposed alingment spec problem and reimburses for some of my tire expenses. It's an annoying problem on an otherwise problem-free car.
