Hey Thanks David, I like the new wheels btw.

Did you keep the resonator? will it smog or will I get beat up by the dealer and EPA?

Removed the two front cats on my 09 328i and gained 14 hp. Have the dyno print outs to prove it too. Been working on getting rid of "service engine soon light but no luck yet. Car needs headers.

14 sounds like a lot for just a cat delete but i guess if you have the dyno to prove it, maybe its just an anomaly. i would say more like 3-5 per cat

if you have a CEL in most states it will not pass emissions, and will also carry a hefty fine if your caught for that mod

how did you do this cat delete, did you just gut them or did you weld in a test pipe?

ive seen the smog that comes out of the pipe with a res delete on a 325 and its so noticable compared to stock, i didn think the secondary cats would do much but they do. in cali i would stay away from this mod honestly. its all preferance, but your HP gains arnt worth the risk, just use the money to get an intake or exhaust, that will sound just as good and will be legal. once you do that and you still dont like how it sounds and you have money to spend changing things arround with the cats then by all means just do it and buy a O2 sim. and change it out everytime you have to get a smog check

Id love to see your dyno sheet also, And Im in Cali along with David, and he has his done... Im tempted to have my shop weld me a custom set of headers.. with a removable Cat section maybe??

Plug and play app basically.. Might be a pipe dream but I will see what can be done.

Any interest if it can be?
