Drew should really think about running adapted ms109 in his M3

M3's have shown due to pencilgeek's dyno that they like race gas VERY much.

The $138K CLK63 Black Series trap 116-119mph bone stock (see dragtimes). 186mph Top End.

And you can also see a video of his M3 running against a fully modded EvoSport C63 with no cats, etc. This car makes like 560HP at the crank.

Damn...that AMG is loud!!

Great fun this morning!
So is this the same c63 that ran with the SC M3 in

?

Yes, the C63 in the second video Hotrod posted is the same C63 racing against the SC'd E92 M3.

awsome runs and videos. fews things i gathered from the post:

1) JB3 is doing us proud

2) that M3 is freakin fast and def. serious - stripped back seats and all. can't imgaine what a supercharged E92 M3 with DCT can do.

3) that C63 is fukin amazingly fast. it pulled the M3 real bad.. wondering how much power its putting down... holly crap.

for our N54 to keep up wit those monster tuned V8s, i can't wait to see some bigger/aftermarket turbos.

Agreed, that Stage 3 C63 is putting down 470whp. I am around 370whp. Maybe 380 with the added Mufflers. The Gpowered car is down on power, he needs to upgrade some components, he was around 440whp.

Awesome! Need to go hunting some CLK63 Black Series! Too bad they are so rare at the $138K.

I'm not sure how PG got those #'s, I did dyno on 100 and MS109 it did nothing, but perhaps it needs to adapt, but that's an expensive adaptation process, lmao.

i tune and understand how the factory DME works, so humor me - put a few gallons in next time you go out, do 3-5 hard pulls prior to a race - record results.

I think you will be satisfied.

I don't see how race gas would help the M3 (normally aspirated) unless the compression ratio is really high. With 91 octane you can max out 10:1 and with 93 octane you could do higher. I think 11:1 ratio only needs about 95-97 octane. That is why you see Rustangs running 87 octane. Anything higher is a waste, they are only 8.5:1 compression. Well, they were... dunno about the new ones.

Boost is a totally different issue.

Sounds like its about top of 5th gear in the DCT7. Probably about 150 actually.

I'm pretty sure the 335i has at least 10:1 static compression. And it runs fine on 91 octane at stock boost levels, and map#7 on mine as the DD.
