... now electrical.

I have seen 2 cases of failure so far.

I noticed on realoem that in the N52 it has a different part number in 2008 (11517563183 vs 11517586925). Anybody knows the reason? Redesign?

Or maybe it is just a different supplier.

As far as I am aware there has been an improvement as the pump and thermostar failed giving an error that isn't displayed on the dash but picked up by the fan continuallly on.

yea ive replaced a few coolant pumps...

i might have been the very first victim of elec water pump failure reported on this site back in 2006 (i believed). I have been riding around with a refurbished water pump ever since.
