Prefer E90 over E92
I know that some people will disagree with Me., but am I the only person who likes the E90 better than the E92? I am talking styling here and not engine. I would love to have the twin turbo engine.
I visited my dealer last week and saw the 328 and to be honest I was not impressed. I have to say that with the last generation 3 series I loved the coupes and I thought they looked much better than the sedans. However, with the E92, I am not so sure. I feel that the BMW design team put more heart and soul into the design of the E90 than the E92. A lot of people where urging not to get the E90 and wait for the E92. I am glad i did not listen to them. What do you guys think?

Exactly what i think, and Exactly what happened to me. Everyone told me to wait for the E92, and i KNEW it will look ugly.....i wish i was wrong though, since i really want a M3 coupe....but i'm pretty sure i'll stick wit the E90 now, and not get the M3...since it will look similar to the E92.... |

I really think both cars look great! I wish I had one of each. I think the front of the e92 is inferior to the e90 front, though. But I like the e92 rear a little better than the e90, so I'd say it's a toss-up.

Its hard to say which "style" is better.
To me, there are pros and cons for both. I prefer E92, solely because of one reason. Coupe/2dr. I love 2 dr, I don't have a family to carry around. Though, viewing from a styling point, coupe has the nice and smooth bodyline. Sedan on the other hand, looks more aggressive in the front, and has that beautiful coupe-alike sideline that most sedans in the market lack. I'd say, just pick whichever want you like better when you look at it.

I think the E92 is a very nice looking car (especially after seeing one in person). Comparing the front end, I would say that the E92 is actually better looking than the E90.
However, I think that the rear end of the E90 is more agressive looking than the E92. The trunk seems to sit higher on the E90 which gives it a more sporting stance. The rear of the E92 seems lower which makes it look more luxurious as opposed to being sporty. But the taillights of the E92 work well with that car, whereas the taillights on the E90 grew on me. For my current situation, I would stick with the sedan. But if I were single and didn't have a child on the way, I would seriously consider the coupe. This is a big change from my opinion of the E46. That car looked GREAT in M3 form, and I even liked the 4 door (with sport package), but I hated the looks of the E46 coupe. It just looked like a sedan with 2 fewer doors and about $1000 extra cost.

i have always preferred the 3 series coupe over the sedan, ever since i bought my first bmw- e36 325i coupe. the e36, e46 coupes and the e92 still beats their sedan siblings in looks , style , elegance and sportiness

I have to say, I like the E90 330i Sport Package wheels better than anything available on the E92 (std or sport package). But I've ordered an E92. C'est la vie...

looks seem more well integrated on the E90
but I drove a coupe, and the 328 would be by far preferable to the 330 sedan in my book the coupes do drive WAY better than the sedans, even though the rear end is terrible |

i always liked 4 doors rather then 2 doors. the e92 deffinetly is a good looking car, but i think its too refined and classy, it doesnt look like its mean like the old coupes did. the e46 body style is deffinetly a classic, and will always be, it was the final product after all, and was perfected in my opinion. im sure our generation of cars will change slightly and be perfected untill the next e revolution happens. but if you wanna go into preferences, i looooove the e60 5 series, in the beggining i was like eh, but now im like

I think a coupe should offer a significant advantage over a sedan to offset the inconveniences. For some cars, just looking great is reason enough (G35 coupe), for others it is the enhanced performance.
I personally prefer the styling of the E90, but even a rational person who prefers the E92 would surely agree the margin is not that great. As an aside one of the reasons I prefer the E90 is that the coupe is narrower and looks it which is not a sporty look. So to performance. Well they will be identical save the very small weight difference. So for me, if someone really prefers the E92 stlying then that is fine, but most of the rest of the purchasers will be poseurs pure and simple

When the first pictures of the E92 first appeared I preferred the E90 but now I must say I prefer the look of the E92.

What is perceivable is the additional 2" of height on the e90. not a sporty look. j/k |
