Be interesting to see how his first lap is - with no testing he will not have been able to drive the new car in anger - bet his first laps will be awesome

Great news! Will be interesting to see if he still has his touch. He was main reason i was interested in the sport. Even better i'm in south of spain that weekend so might make a trip up to the race.

Doubtful with all in-season testing banned. The only miles those cars do are at GP weekends during free practice, quali & races.

Agreed, and also dangerous IMO. New parts are not tested on the car until race weekend so if any failures occur it will be during quali or a race. It will also prevent new drivers getting experience through test driving for a season. Not a good move and something that needs to be reversed IMO.

Yer soz didn't mean testing now, but testing when the car was being developed. Also I'm sure he'll get the hang of it during free practice!!

They also need to go to the old quali format... 1 hour Friday and 1 hour Sturday with 12 laps in each one.
Non of this wasted knock out scenerio bowlacks.
