Yellow Low Oil Signal - BMW 3-Series (E90 E92) Forum

This lit up after I had driven the car and pulled out the key. The rep at the dealership told me that all valvetronic engines (2006 onwards) should have oil added at every 5000 miles. I previously had a 1999 328i and the low oil indicator never lit up. The rep said this is perfectly normal for this model for the indicator to light up like this( I have a 2006 330i ), and not to worry about the indicator light . What are your thoughts about this?
