Clearwater Car Wash?

Hey guys- As a new resident of Clearwater (as of last week), I'm finding that my car is not enjoying the sporadic afternoon rain showers, and it's in need of a SERIOUS wash. My new neighbors have told me about a residential car washing ban, so can anyone recommend any safe quality places to clean my e90? Any idea when the ban is going to be let up? Also, does someone actually patrol and look for people washing their cars, or is it just based on the honor system? Thanks for your help!

If I am correct they have started to allow one wash per week along with opening the restrictions on pressure washing. I don't know for sure what day that starts but I'vwe satarted already. If it comes down to washing by someone else there is a car wash near downtown clearwater off Court St. just west of Missouri. They do a wonderful job inside and out. Sorry I can't think of the name right now.

Hmm... this sounds pretty tricky. I'm in Pinellas just off of Belcher near Gulf to Bay. Is there a government website where all of this ban stuff is listed? Thanks for your help though- look forward to seeing you guys on the road!

According to this article posted on 7/30/2009, residents of the city of clearwater are allowed to wash our cars on the same day we are allowed to water our lawns. Once per week is the limit- but that's better than nothing!
