75%, no other mods. I dont think I feel cranking it up to 100%. Not for longevity. I might as well just get a jb3 at that point.

I wasn't aware that the JB+ could adjust to race gas. I thought on the JB3 could do that?

The JB+ doesnt adjust to anything. The car adjusts it self. FI cars tend to show large HP increases on higher octanes in contrast to NA cars. The JB3 has the ability to switch maps to ones made just for race gas, 91, 93, different mods, etc.

About 2/3 setting, no point in cranking it up more with 91 octane gas.

Altho I do plan on mixing 7 gallons of 100 octane gas with 8 gallons of 91 octane gas (95 octane) and cranking up the jb+ to a tiny tiny bit past 3/4 setting. Will then record some 0-100+ mph runs by the 3rd or 4th day. (letting DME fully adjust)

Does anyone know what the suggested max setting for the JB+ is for a 2009 335i (post 29.2 obviously) that is running 93 octane? I've read some conflicting posts about how high you can set the JB+ for post 29.2 software. Maybe Mike can chime in?

All this talk about octane has got me wondering.

1. If you run JB+ at 100% would it be recommended to use 93+ octane instead of 91?

2. Is high octane gas wasted on JB+? I know on higher map settings for JB3 it's recommended you use high octane, but they have maps made for the octane. I guess the real question is, what octane is it worth going up to before I see minimal gains? Should I stick to using a 95 octane mix and below?

I'm on 75%, put about half a tank of 100 octane in the other day and the car felt great! Raced my friend with an '04 Cobra (450+ rwhp) and could hang with him. I would love to see a 100% 100 octane dyno. I have not seen one yet.
