BMW Motorsport stuff -- LSD etc.

Anyone with a local BMW Motorsport dealer that can answer Qs regarding use of the 320 motorsport parts on our 335s?

Check out all the stuff in the 320si catalog:

http://www.bmwusa.com/standard/conte...portparts.aspx

There are tons of parts for suspension, LSD, radiator etc. that are of potential use in 335s with appropriate modification. But it will require a lot of effort to figure out what will work.

It will require a lot of DIY R&D, and this BMW MS stuff is usually huge $, so my hopes are not that high for finding much of use. It would be great if Harold (HPAutowerks) and others with the technical know-how could work their way through the catalog and see what might be useful.

Send a message via AIM to MuchMoore
With all the difficulty in finding a great OCC solution for the N54, I found this section most interesting:

BMW Motorsports is a division that provides parts for offroad race track use.

Unfortunately I can't get the pdf file for the 320si to upload here. It is 156 pages. I put up the 2008 Z4 file so you can see the incredible level of sophistication of these parts. One of my favs is the finned final drive cover. We might be able to use some of the strut tower mounts. I am praying that the 335, or at least the N54 in some variant, gets into the Motorsports system. It would solve tons of our parts problems (OCC, brakes, etc.) providing $ is reasonable.

To get to the BMWUSA website to view the catalogs, make sure that you are using the full web address. The version you have in your post does not work. You may need to go to the BMWUSA site, and drill down via accessories and then Motorsports.
