Clear Bra/Tint in Chicago/NW suburbs - BMW 3-Series (E90 E92) Forum

Can anyone recommend an installer for clear bra and tint in the NW suburbs? I live downtown but work in Schaumburg.

Also, what is the difference between kinds of tint? Any help you can give is greatly appreciated!

did you guys ever get any tickets because of the tints? I'm still debating if I should get them or not. I know Chicago cops are very strict about it

no tickets on tints and for not having a front license plate. knock on wood!!!

I just spoke with Shaded Days and they advocated not getting a clear bra. They thought it wasn't worth it and the product isn't that good over time, that there are imperfections and eventually will become noticable on my car...

Has anyone put on clear bra and been unhappy with it?

I know a lot of people who have 3M clear bra put on by Midwest Autobahnd. My friend is a rep for them and she can get you a good deal. It just depends what you want covered on the car. Just the front bumper, or side mirrors, front air dam, rear bumper, doors.

And on the tickets, they wil ticket you if your tints are too dark. Talk to Brad Wagner and see what he recommends, he does say, "If cops cant see in your car, they will pull you over because they want to know what is in your car." I got 35% medium tint, here is a pic

Just had a clear bra installed.

From what i can tell, it came out excellent!

He has a shop in chicago (forget the name) or he can drive to you to have it done. Which is nice! He also gave me the cheapest quote and i had called many places.

^^ any close-up pics of the clear bra and which parts on car did he put them on? i'm interested in getting it b/c i do alot of highway miles and get many little paint chips.

Really cant see the bra unless the sun is right on it. Which is why i took the pics that way.

Brian is a good guy and friend of mine. Clear Bra is for $400 and he uses the top of the line film.

I had tints on my last car for 6 years before I ever got pulled over. If its an overcast day then it makes your tints look that much darker. Not to mention the cop had something stuck up his ass that day. As far as having no plate, I've been pulled over and ticketed for it and I've also had a nice little orange present on my windshield after I street parked in the city. Sure it looks nice but to me its not worth the hassle anymore of going to court or constantly worrying whenever I see a cop if he's going to pull me over.
