New Family Member! =)

As I posted the other day in the leasing thread, we were looking at the rates for different cars that BMWNA is offering this month because we're doing a lease return, and we ended up taking one off the dealer's hands. *grin*

This is our new baby... I named her "Mercedes" (what?! you don't name your cars?!) after my late grandmother. But I'm also relishing the irony tremendously. More pictures I'm sure, when it stops raining.

3.0i. The only option is the power top. It was mostly a coincidence. They had just taken her off the semi when we got there (test drove it with cardboard still in place and everything), and they had a good lease deal for her since she's among the last of the '06s. After seeing that all the other Z4's in stock were loaded to the brim with options, it was a done deal.

Ah, sorry, lol. Didn't mean any confusion. These are the cars in my family. X5 and 330i belong to my Mother and Father respectively. X3 was given to my younger sister by my Father- she's in college with a full-ride and has it upstate with her. The Honda was my Mother's car but now it kinda just sits around in case anyone needs it. The Mazda was mine, and has recently been sold. The E46 coupe was also mine (as it says in my "Drives:" section), and was just traded in for the Z4.

Hope that clears things up a bit, heh.

thanks. it feels a bit awkward going from a four-seater (well, I frequently stuffed five in the E46 but...) to a two-seater, so it's going to take me a while to get completely used to it... but I am loving the car... power isn't amazing but it's quite adequate.

it's not broken in yet so I haven't been able to flex the engine all that much, but from what i can tell it's a couple tenths slower than our E90 330i with steptronic. and it's much lower, lighter, and just tauter in general than the E46 was, even though the E46 had the sport package and the Z4 does not.
