Even though higher horsepower cars generally equates to higher insurance rates, but they must take into consideration other factors that I don't fully understand. For example, I did an online quote with Geico (my current insurance company) and saw that the insurance on a 2007 Porsche Carerra 4S is only $60/6mo higher than the rate on my BMW 330i.
I currently have 100/300 coverage with $500 ded.

Do you live with people with bad driving records? Sometimes that will change the rate. The options you have on your car, like an alarm, day time running lights etc can lower your rates. If this is your "leisure" vehicle it is also cheaper. |
