Got $500 to spend at the dealer, what to get?

Hi,

the local dealer screwed me over a bit... well it wasn't really his fault, but their contract is sort of messed up, so I could sue them for cash, so they've been nice and offered compensation.

They "owe" me about $5000. I thought I'd only ask them for something around $500, since they're being nice, and the situation we are in isn't really their fault.

Well, what should I ask for? That is troubling me... I have a E90 LCI 335i.

Any opinions welcome.

Thanks.

....they owe you $5000 but you're letting it slide because they're being nice? can you please explain the situation because that doesn't even begin to make sense in any logical way.

Tell them to hook you up with the new BMW performance package on them.Cost more than 500$ but should partially make up for the 5000$ " mistake " on their part. That's what I would do..Hell, I'd also tell them to throw in the BMW performance exhaust too and call it even. both are factory approved mods and sum total equates to almost
5Gs ( 2500$ for performance package, 2000$ for BMW exhuast, about 500$ for installation= we're EVEN). There you go, BEST advice yet IMHO!

Not exactly how much you can get with $500, nothing major.

If I were you I wouldn't worry whose fault it is, if they offer you $5k, I'd take it. They aren't some mom and pop shop down the street, it's BMW.

Now, if you decide on the 5k, you could get maybe performance intake and exhaust. Or performance kit.

Performance Steering wheel and some add-ons for interior.

Maybe, if you're considering keeping the car awhile you could get the extended warranties. Or even put 5k towards your next car?

It really depends on what you're interested in. Performance? Overall look?

My only opinion is you take the 5k, not 500.

You should ask them to hook up all the performance parts. Or ask them to put mtech on.

+1. They are the ones that screwed up. If they screwed you out 5K, then why are you settling for $500?

lololol. you said that you could sue them. im guessing you can get more than 5k. and since you're a nice guy and arn't looking for any legal battles, ask for 5K in performance stuff. no question about it, except whats the story?

if you could go to tischer it'll go alot farther.
