Bmw Cobham Dealership

Took my car in today because of the same engine warning light/ power loss....BMW Battersea didn't repair it properly last time....

Coopers Cobham gave me a Mini as loan car for the time being....loving the manual gearbox!!!....and they are "fun" to drive!.....only issue, I feel like a girl driving a Mini....and I miss the power of my 335i....:-(

Test drove a TTS last weekend.....very fast car!!!.....Very different from the 335....0-60, i think the TTS might be able to keep up with the 335....will need to test it properly when my brother takes delivery in January!!!

Mine didnt feel that heavy compared i dont think, i thought the over 60mph acceleration was a little blunt, by no means slow though!

And through the bends you know, on the road where we all do the vast majority of our driving? Just curious as when I had the re-mapped 335d it would be 3 mph faster on stretches of road you're familiar with compared to the Cayman S but we're talking straight line, add the routine bends and it was game over for the 335d but then to be fair one is a sports car the other more of a GT.

hmmm...yeah...i was talkin about straight lines.....can't really comment on bends and curves.....haven't tested the TTS thoroughly....as it was only a 30mins drive in London....and with the salesman saying " safety is my main priority, i will have to ask you to slow down now.....you will need to slow down around here, there are few police cars with speed cameras around here.....we can only do test the car under normal driving conditions around here....etc etc etc...."

But I have a feeling that the TTS might be faster on track/ bends/ curves....will write about it when my brother gets the car.....

I asked the salesman the same....how does the TTS compare to the S5 ...and he said....."with all due respect, the s5 will be more similar to your 335i....more of a GT....the TTS is totally different...." ....i guess what he meant was that the TTS is faster on track....

It's bound to as it's more of a 'single minded' car if you know what I mean. Unless you spend alot of money modding a saloon/coupe it isn't going to give the same specifics but then if you're required daily drive is a good all rounder rather than very good in certain areas then job done as they say.

If I remember correctly, SteveA has said that despite the RS4 being down on power compared to the M6, he finds the overall driving experience more rewarding. Back to the overall package of a car. Fun trying them all though!

and it includes a remap, a big fan, a radiator and some other bits n bobs like air ducts and cooling stuff....

asked the dealer for a quote today.....2500 !!!...approx....as they said the system is not out yet.....
