[quote=longtran;5831023]you can fit 9s and 11s if you want, its a matter of getting the right offset and tire. here is my e92 2 years ago with 20x9 et 40 and 20x11 et 40. i was running a 305 30 20 rear tire and it was rubbing galore.
HAHAHA i can only imagine, i was runnin m3 192s on ps2s (m3 offset) and would rub on the smallest bumps...it hurt my heart everytime so i had to change it up

Search user "m3this". He fit 20x11's on the rear of an e90. His setup rubbed all the time with just the driver in the car. It was too extreme.

Oh trust me I would be lower, I had to jack up the front so it wouldn't rub. In the process of jacking up the rears too.
If I accelerate at all right now the rears rub lol |

most people think flush means "not sunken"..."hella flush" requires a drastically stretched tire (think 235 on a 10" rim at minimum), slammed, rolled fenders, tucking atleast 1/2 of the sidewall inside the fender, and the rim as close to the fender as possible and for anyone that is wondering, running a stretched tire is not a safety hazard. Once the tire is beaded, with proper air pressure, the tire will not come off under any normal circumstances. If a 225 wide tire on a 10" rim debeads because of an impact...a 275 tire would have had the same outcome. here is my car. Not as flush as I would like it, as I need wider rims (currently running 9" front and 10" rear). I need to run atleast a 235 width tire to control this heavy beast while sliding. I also have VERY thick fenders, so I would have to run a 235 on a 10.5 or 11" wheel to really be flush. ![]() buddies car ![]() If anyone needs help picking wheels feel free to shoot me a PM. I have been fitting flush wheels on many different cars for years now. All you need is a little extra work to roll ur fenders, and some simple math. And if done properly even some of the most aggressive setups will not rub due to the wheel cambering in upon compression. RA2Fanatic...look REAL good :-) |

So "HELLA FLUSH" is in fact having the tread of the tire flush with the fender wells. Not the edge of the rim flush with the fenderwells.
I understand now, and will to be a member in the "HELLA FLUSH" gang. |
