New 320D M-Sport Le Mans Blue

Due to collect my new motor this coming Thursday

320D M-Sport Le Mans Blue
Media Package inc Prof Sat Nav
Visibility Package inc Xenon headlights
Beige Leather
Seat heating
Servotronic steering
Split rear seats
Lumbar support (essential for me, as I donít like the numb bum!)
Business HiFi
USB interface
Red Brown Fig Eucalyptus dash board (Wife hates brushed Ali)
Extended storage
Head restraints rear & folding
Ext mirrors folding+ auto dimming

Well thatís about it. The budget couldnít go for much else, but it includes an Auto gearbox as most of my driving is between traffic lights London & motorway driving. Nice twisty B class roads are exceedingly rare, unless itís around the local housing estate.

As a matter of interest placed the order 13 weeks ago. But I did change the colour a couple of weeks into the order. Seems along time!
Previously had a 320i SE, so it will be interesting to compare the difference.
Will post some pics soon!
Cheers!

Sounds like a lovely motor. Bet you'll be well chuffed with it. Nice spec too (can't beleive more people don't spec the split/fold rear seats - a godsend in an E90 - should be standard imo).

Thought I was going to collect my new motor today but no! B....... Bank put the wrong account number on the electronic transfer docs,
so the money went in too late They are abosolute piecans. You just wouldn't believe what else went on. Such as, they wouln't correct their error by 'phone, I had to go back to the High Street to correct their error! Believe me, I could go on! So collection of the motor will be tomorrow. Next week I will be going elsewhere for my banking. Be very wary of B....... Bank
PS I understand that all their Branches will no longer be open on Saturdays. I fear they are going down the tubes!

Well, picked up the new motor two days ago. Very nice it is too. Well worth waiting for.
Have posted a few pics. The interior Ďwoodworkí might not suit all, but with the Beige leather it looks better that the pics would have you believe. Brushed ali is very nondescript in comparison. (In my opinion)
The Le Mans Blue is an outstanding colour. When we collected the car, it literally stood out amongst the rest in the Dealers car park.
The car drives and rides beautifully. It rides the potholes and manhole covers smoothly, sufficient for my Wife to make comment, undoubtedly better than the 320i SE. The cornering is very flat, again better than the 320i SE. Cannot understand how the Motoring Press say the M-Sport gives a hard ride. I believe it could be in their imagination!
There is a slight diesel noise on tick over, but nothing like a London black cab!
Possibly on some motorway surfaces there appears to be a little more tyre noise. Due no doubt to the larger tyres compared with the 320i SE.
The Xenon headlights give a fantastic spread, left, right and distance, of white light. I just hope they are aligned correctly! Am now looking forward (almost) to a good spell of night time driving!
The Servotronic steering has made a real difference. Parking now is almost pleasant! Definitely worth having.
Yes, all-in-all the M-Sport was a good decision to make. I think we ticked the right box.
When collecting the car, my wife & I received top class attention from the BMW Sales Exec, who carefully and unhurriedly, went over all the controls and aspects of the car. Nothing was too much trouble. Never had such treatment before, and I have had a few new motors in my time and what with the discount I am
Get one soon!
Cheers!
PS Any ideas on some 'extras' that would be worth considering?

Looks great but not 100% sure on the wood. Piano black would look lovely in there!

Next step is a remap?

Piano black? Yes, that was put up as a possible option but did not go down too well with my 'commitments indoors' unfortunatly. I would have quite liked an all black interior. To me black is quite smart and would, I think, have gone quite well with the Le Mans Blue. But a bright interior won the day.
A remap could be a possibility at the end of the warranty period.
Cheers!

It might be called something else on the E90 but on the Z4 it was called piano black. Its basically highly polished black trim instead of wood/aluminium etc.

Looks lovely but 'sporty' and 'wood' don't belong in the same sentence, lol

I really like LMB and I think it suits M-sport E90's really well

mine has the beige leather and the piano black trim, and it does look good. Piano black seems to attract the dust though

anyway far more importantly your car looks great

How accurate are your interior photos in terms of the trim's colour? I suspect it is looking a little brighter and redder than in real life.

I would agree with you that the metal trims don't sit well with that colour of interior and I don't think piano black would go well with beige.

Lovely car and colour scheme.

That's so shiney it hurts my eyes! Look at those tyres!

Another non wood fan (inlaws X5 has the equivalent wood/leather colours) but it looks high quality and you mentioned your missus not liking aluminium?

Also my Terra leather looks too red in pics (and I have a decent camera) as well - I suspect it's more subtle in real life?

Looks really good makes me second guess now I think I should have ordered my LCI Msport with this color instead of the silver, but hey its done now,

Just stick some bmw performance black kidney grills on and you have a complete look
