Yep - was Zaino'd a while back, BMW kindly removed it for me last time they had the car, despite me asking them not to wash it

It is very shiney - I asked BMW not to clean mine either - but they couldn't resist a little scrub - no visible damage/swirls luckily.

Not got to your level of shine Mob but it's not bad - Supagard preparation seems pretty good so far - all I need to do it a quick wash then a dry with my cheapo microfibre cloths.

This was taken with a phone camera:

You can see our gay Jimny reflected near the back of the car!!

knowing I would always want a 335D if I had a 330.
i can relate to that feeling!!

i would however point out that i'm love my remapped 330d and dont believe i missing out on too much compared to the 335d....
i could be wrong, it has happened once before (), but it doesn't keep me awake at night.... well, not too often anyway!

Dan, get the 335. Similar economy from a vastly superior piece of metal. It does depend on if you can live with the auto box though...

Grey and lemon - one of my favourites.

Thanks for the input guys and gals, it's all been good reading and food for thought. I suspect that the strategy will be to move the current car on and then see what deal I can jump on between the two, but at least I've got some heads-ups now.

If anyone sees a mid-life crisis happen somewhere and there's a nice large diesel up for grabs in exchange for a quick convertible - do drop me a line..

jd - lovely example!

dxb - what annoys me about people that "twin pipe" their non 335ds (e.g. 320d) is that some chav/rep will beat them off the lights then shout about how slow they are! Not good for "our" reputation!

Mate I agree. I hate cars which are done up to look like a model they ain't. I don't agree with replica's.

A guy I knew in the 80s (well Dad knew him better) did Renault V6 engined Countach replicas - the trouble was they actually looked very convincing. I wonder how many muppets in Sierras and Cavaliers banged on about thrashing a Countach?!

If a car looks fast, it must be fast. End of.

What about if a car looks slow 335diesel?

You should strip out your 3 litre tt lump and throw a 1.8 in, then? Because your car doesn't look fast ?

It looks fast enough. Just not shouty fast. But input appreciated as always.

We don't all need plastic spoilers and fragile alloys to try and pretend we are fast thanks.

Your worse than carlos. No matter what point anyone tries to make to you, the opposite will suddenly be true - so I won't bother.

I'm actually against 335 conversions completely as well, for the record. But christ... Give it a rest...

ps, no offence Carlos Love you!!

Hang on, you took the pi55 in jest, so did I.

So why are a number of Fisher Price toys rapidly exiting the Silver Cross pram?
