Annoying windows!

Every time I clean the windows in my coupe they get these streaks as soon as I roll them down... My e92 always has somewhat "dirty" looking windows...

What could be causing this?

And is there a fix?

Sorry couldn't resist, but yeah I know what you mean. I get streaks all the time. I don't think there's any real way around it ... Kinda like a design flaw.

I think it has something to do with the rubber pieces (don't know the exact term) being a bit dirty and rubbing against the windows as they go up and down..??

Yea, it was crap on my 2009 328 coupe, and still crap on my 2011 335 cabrio. Do you get the car washed and waxed? Perhaps wax is getting caught in the tracks.

Same here, streaks all the time. I just try and ignore it. It'll wipe off pretty easy I'm sure, then again I don't really roll the windows down much. AC/Moon roof or just crack em.

there is a DIY on how to fix it using mole skin on the weather trimming inside the doors where the window rolls down into. You take off the weather stripping and there is a plastic scrapper underneath the cloth part that you see. Adhesive mole skin on the plastic scrapper and the problem was fixed.
