You're welcome. I didn't include the how-to for the rear quarter panel cause I believe it's here somewhere.

the Headliner itself and all the pillar covers are the easiest, its the sun roof cover that can be a bitch. Easiest way and only way is to remove the sun roof glass itself. Then take a look at the new sunroof cover your going to install. Pay attention to how the 4 slide taps i call them work. They have a type of blocking lock, remove it and taps push in they are spring loaded. Take the front to out first on both sides, then work towards the back. Common sense mechanical know how is my best advice to understand how it works, and how you can remove it and install the new black anthracite one. I believe i have pictures on my profile page that could help.

How to remove the B pillar? The one with the seatbelt cutout. According to the official diagram (posted above) it looks like you have to remove that rear panel with speakers, but they din't mention anything about that.

I removed A and C pillars with relative ease, stuck on B pillar. I removed the bottom anchor point for seatbelt but cant proceed.

Anyone with pointers or hints?

I am changing a deployed side curtain airbag if that helps.

hey I'm also replacing the roof curtain bag, also on e92 coupe. Is there a trick to take off the panel in the back corner? and how do you unscrew the airbag itself? is there a special key?

Headliner parts are removed just like in these tutorials posted.

Airbag itself is held by rivets. You drill them out and then install new ones.

I didn't have a riveting tool so I bought one at Harbor Freight. It was cheap like $20 with bunch of rivets in various sizes.

For me the greatest challenge was putting the headliner back inside. Airbag swap wasn't bad

One more question, after installing new airbag and plugging it in, is it safe to turn on the car before it gets reprogrammed?

Yes, of course. How else would you get it to the dealer?

You afraid that the airbag will just deploy again, don't you? I been in that situation before, but then read that it can't go off until system is restored and previous error codes regarding deployed airbag are cleared.

So as long as you keep battery disconnected during the whole DIY it will be fine.

You have to use a large enough drill bit to drive out the rivet sidewall. Drilling out the center leaves the wall in place.

Hi, you have probably got them out at this point but yes those are the rivets. I think there are two different sizes.

Just get a drill bit larger than that rivet hole by 1-2mm and start drilling. At first it will be easy since the head of the rivet is some aluminum alloy, but when you will get to the steel pin it will be tough.

Once you drill it out the rivet, it will either push into the car's body or a tiny piece will stick out and you can extract it with pliers. I was able to catch only 2 of the rivets, it is much easier to just let it go inside the car's body.

Thanks guys, I got them out, just needed a bigger drill bit, very easy btw. Now I cant find the right rivets to pop it back in, most of the stores around here only have the small ones. Im going to have to drive to Freight Harbor tools which is half hour away, see if they have them.
