does anyone have a list of packages available to upgrade when you buy a 3 series ? premium, sport etc, comfort access etc.

and also a list of induividual options you can add?

BMW's website has all that info, they've barely changed anything as far as the packages since they released the e90 in 05

so a sport or premium package on a 06 would contain the same upgrades to a 09 car. with same packages correct ?

and through bmw's website you arent allowed to add induividual options and not the whole package to the car, is this only avail through the dealers?

Go to www.edmunds.com and do a work up on th exact 3 Series you want.

you can add individual options like navi, alarm, active cruise control, ca etc etc. what specific individual options were you thinking of adding?

Beware that the BMW USA website is still showing the 2009 model (as of 21/Sep/2009). In edmunds.com you can get the 2010 model.

i mean induividual components from the premium package. like auto folding mirrors, can you just add that ?

No, you have to add the Premium Package to get the auto folding mirrors. Also note that the Moonroof is now a standalone option or part of the Premium Package on the E90 and E92 328i for 2010 models.

The Edmunds site is pretty much clueless as to how the options fit together for a MY 2010 3 series. I just ordered a 2010 328xi wagon this weekend and compared the results to what the Edmunds showed and Edmunds claimed MSRP was almost $4k over the actual result. Edmunds failed to take into account what options are included in which packages so if you don't know that in advance the Edmunds configuration will charge you for things that were included in the various packages.

The BMW site isn't a better option because the rules for a MT 2009 are not the same as a 2010 at all.

Do your homework - the currently available online configuration tools are not functional for a MY 2010 3 Series.

2010 3 Series are now in the BMW USA web site configurator. From what I can see the packages and prices listed are identical to the list my dealer just got this last week.
