Insurance

Hi Guys,

I need to get my son on the car insurance every so often. Usually only for few days. Are there any companies who do this at a reasonable price? I am with Privilege at the moment but they only do whole months insurance, and at that only for 3 months of any one year.

appreciate the help, thanks

I have my car insured with Direct Line and they have provided me cover for additional drivers for a day or two at a time.

Thanks for the information, that's great. Obviously the cost will vary with circustanes, but could you possibly give me an idea as to how much it will cost on average per day?

Thank you!

mmm it was not cheap. I seem to remember paying circa £30-£40 additional per day for an additional 30 year old driver.

Yicks!! That's over £14K a year! BMW to BMW asked for reasonable prices.

Norwich Union are doing a specific short term insurance now. Max duration of 28days at about £10 per day for the first few days and then £5 after that (or about double for cars in insurance groups 18-20). I think from a quick look at the site it may well be limited to over 21's only though.

wow, looks like this is a fairly expensive way to go about things!! Perhaps it will be cheaper to just add him to the policy!!
